Online Find My Nearest service

The Driving Standards Agency (DSA) offers a free online service which allows you to search for your nearest theory or practical driving test centres.

The find my nearest service was updated during the summer of 2005, allowing you to search for test centres in three different ways. As before, the A-Z search returns any test centres located in your town, however now you can use the county search, where all test centres within your county will be returned or the postcode search, which returns the four closest test centres to the postcode submitted.

Each search result gives you the theory or practical test centre address, the types of tests conducted and the test centre availability. The new service also allows you to see a map of the local area in varying degrees of detail ranging from 1 mile to 20 miles, and to book a test at the selected test centre.

How to access this service
To access the 'Find my nearest' service for Theory Test centres click here, you can be access a wider range of services from the DSA website. All vehicle categories have a 'Find My Nearest' link on the left hand menu. The default page behind this link is the A to Z of practical tests. Browse for a driving test centre by selecting a town name from the A-Z table, by selecting a county from the drop-down list, or enter your postcode into the field and press 'go'.
